Hi. Todd. Big news from the whiteboard.
After a three-day summit involving myself, Dave, two concept artists, and a mediator we hired specifically for this, we have reached a historic accord: the boat is a cave. Dave was right all along. It was always a cave. We were the ones who were lying down, metaphorically. The cave count is now officially twelve. A commemorative plaque has been ordered. Procurement says 2031, but we've learned not to trust that number in either direction.
The fog team, now forty strong, held their first offsite. They rented a foggy cabin. They report it was "too on the nose" and "spiritually overwhelming." Two of them have transferred to the cave department. The fog remains our most finished feature and, increasingly, our most emotionally demanding one.
Janet has baked a cake shaped like the blank second whiteboard. It is also blank. It is the most conceptually advanced cake she has produced. We are not eating it. We are studying it.
